AD: Water Pollution Control Plant Shift Supervisor CTJobCentral ID # 10047668 The Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) is a non-profit municipal organization that provides potable water, sewerage services and other environmental services to the Hartford, Ct. metropolitan area. We are accepting resumes for a position of Water Pollution Control Plant Shift Supervisor. This position involves the direction of plant operations on an assigned shift. Duties include directing primary, secondary, thickening, dewatering, incineration, and/or composting operations and routine maintenance on the assigned shift, as scheduled. This is a Class 4 facility, and is the state's largest water pollution control plant. It processes 65 million gallons daily, and significant upgrades are planned for the near future. Position requires a high school diploma or the equivalent plus six years of progressively responsible water pollution control plant experience including at least two years in a crew leader or supervisory capacity. Must have a valid Connecticut Class 3 Water Pollution Control Plant Operator's Certificate. Hourly rate is $31.97 to $38.34, plus shift differentials.
