Job Training Information
The job training courses available through the Massachusetts Job Quest system include training opportunities currently approved for ITA, Section 30, Trade, and the Education Rewards Loan Program. Each of these programs are based on its own set of eligibility requirements and job seekers may be required to meet these criteria before enrolling in any job training. Training programs may also be approved in some local areas and not approved in others. Please contact your local Career Center for eligibility determination and additional information regarding course availability.
 
ITA Approved Courses
These courses may be available to job seekers who are eligible for funding from the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) through the Adult or Dislocated Worker Programs. Please contact your local Career Center for eligibility determination and additional information regarding course availability.
 
Section 30 Courses
These courses may be available to job seekers who are currently receiving unemployment insurance benefits. Please contact your local Career Center for eligibility determination and additional information regarding course availability.
 
Education Rewards Loan Program
These programs of study are available to individuals who receive an Education Rewards Loan through a One Stop Career Center. Participants must select a program of study in one of more than 70 occupations that have been identified as high demand or high growth occupations. The program of study must also result in an industry recognized certificate, credential, license or Associates Degree. Please contact your local Career Center for eligibility determination and additional information regarding the availability of eligible programs of study.
 
The search criteria are explained as follows;
  1. Keyword: This enables a user to search for a course by the keyword. Example if a user needs a
    course on computers he needs to type in the keyword " computer" and run the search.
  2. School or Provider Location: You can search using the city you want to run your search in. You can
    select this by clicking on the drop down box to expose the list of cities and choose one.
  3. Course: You can run a search based on a course name or a provider name.
  4. Approved Course Type: You can choose if the course is approved by any of the following programs:
    ITA, Section 30, Trade or the Education Rewards Loan Program. Their descriptions and benefits are mentioned above.
  5. Approved Region: You can choose the region you want to run the search in by clicking on the
    drop down box to expose the list of regions offered.
  6. Targeted Occupation: This enables a user to search for a course based on its targeted occupation.
    For example, entering "nurse" will return courses that target "Licensed Practical and Licensed Vocational Nurses".
    (Please note: Targeted occupations are not recorded for all training programs.)
  7. Sort Results: You can sort your results either by course name or provider name.
