Description

Temporary/Seasonal Farmwork: 3/1/10 to 12/15/10.- 8hrs M-F., 40-hr./wk. Housings for non-commuter. Workers 3/4 workday guarantee, transportation reimbursement, employer provides tools/equipment and weather gear. Work in all weather conditions. Apply direct to local One Stop Career Center. Duties: .Manually plant, cultivates, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts and field crops. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; cleaning, packing, and loading harvested products. May construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings, or participate in irrigation activities.
Harvest tree fruit using ladder (up to 24 ft) & picking bucket. Must lift up to 40lbs while ascend/descend ladder on sustained basis.
